Cleaning of soil in Tungelroy River

Kurstjens was commissioned by the Waterschap Peel en Maasvallei and the Zuiveringsschap Limburg (currently merged into Waterschapsbedrijf Limburg) for the project ‘Soil remediation in Tungelroy River as part of a European tender. The contract price was € 2,546,000.00 excl. VAT.

During this project, over 100,000 tonnes of heavily contaminated soil and dredging soil with cadmium and zinc were treated using one of the mobile soil remediation systems. This soil remediation system was installed for this purpose at four strategic localities along the river.
